Day 2: Ilocos Norte Tour

By Unknown

This is the continuation of our Ilocos Norte Tour. It was a gloomy day, and the rain started to fall that afternoon. If you haven't read my Ilocos Norte Tour: Day 1, it would be a good to start it there :)

For Day 2, We went to these places:
Day 2: Ilocos Norte
Kaibigan Falls
Paoay Church
Malacanang of the North

Kaibigan Falls
Some tourists haven't heard of this tourist spot, because it is not publicized well. Going to this place is a bit tricky and, there are now a lot of signage as to where this is located. Fortunately, our driver knows where to find this place, so it was not hard going there.
Kaibigan Falls
One of the view that you would pass by. So beautiful :)
Kaibigan Falls is located at Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte. It's around 2km walk, with a bit of hiking and you'll pass small streams of water. You would feel like being part of nature before you would arrive there. The estimated time of walking would be 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how fast you walk. Some people take breaks from time to time.
Kaibigan Falls
Going here would give you the opportunity to enjoy the nature. Don't forget to bring your camera to have a photo of how beautiful our nature is. You have the option to swim, when you arrive at the destination, so do not forget to bring extra clothes. Do not worry, they have a bathroom/restroom at the start of the trek, so you can do your thing there or change clothes before going to walk for a few minutes.
Kaibigan Falls

When we went here, we ask for one guide to join us. Our guide was very nice because she assisted us on our trek. She would lead your way onto the Kaibigan Falls. I suggest you get a guide because, one part of the trail gives you 2 directions. It would be best to have locals on your side to guide you.

My friends went for a swim and they truly enjoy the experience. However, our tour guide cautioned them not to go near the falls because it is too deep in that area, and there might be loose stones falling from the falls. You wouldn't want to be injured during your trip right? So, they just swam near us. By the way, I opted not to swim because I do not have extra clothes with me.

I recommend you guys to wear slippers or sandals, that can be wet. Bring extra clothes in case you want to swim. Wear shorts, so that it would not be hard to hike.

Entrance Fee:
Environmental Fee: Php 20.00 per Pax
Tour Guide (Optional): 150 pesos.

Paoay Church
Paoay Church was built in 1894 and a UNESCO world Heritage site. One unique feature about this church was that, it was able to stand a lot of earthquakes that we have in our country. This amazing heritage site was actually built of baked bricks, coral rocks, tree sap and lumber.

Paoay Church

One interesting fact I found out from Arkitektura.PH about Paoay Church, was that the Bell tower was used by the Katipuneros as an observation post in 1896 against the Spaniards, and by the Filipino Guerilla against the Japanese in World War II. Also, the walls are 1.67m think, while the bell tower was slightly detached from the main building to save the church in case of collapse.

Paoay Church

Paoay Church is one of the most visited site here in the Philippines. Photobombers are everywhere, so expect to have a couple of people in your background. As far as I can remember, there's nothing you can see inside the church, but the door is always open. Feel free to check what's inside the church. :)

Entrance Fee:
Free

Malacanang of the North
Malacanang of the North is located in the town of Paoay, Ilocos Norte. This was once a residence of the former Philippine president, Ferdinand Marcos. It was actually a gift from her wife on Pres. Marcos's 60th birthday. It now serves as a museum for tourists. The mansion has a perfect view of the Paoay Lake.
Malacanang of the North

You can see here the different furniture that they use, portraits of the family members, their rooms, etc. During the time of our visit (June 2013), there's an exhibit about Marcos's luggage and what's inside his luggage when he went to Hawaii. I don't really understand what it is, but I think it's important.

You would see several living rooms, dining rooms, guest rooms in this house. It resembles the 19th century Spanish and Ilocano architecture. You can also visit the pool at the back of the Mansion. Of course, there are already frogs in the pool :)

Malacanang of the North
One of their Living room with portraits of Pres. Marcos and Imelda Marcos.
Malacanang of the North
Family Pictures
Aside from the the beauty of the house, make sure to visit or have a picture with Paoay Lake. Malacanang of the North offers you a magnificent area for picture taking having Paoay Lake as your background.

Malacanang of the North
Behind us is Paoay Lake
There is a legend here in Paoay lake. Here is the story I got from a post( Mango Tours)

"Long ago, there was a beautiful village situated on a verdant tropical land. The people living in the village were known for being simple, hardworking and god fearing. These humble villagers built a church out of their skimpy earnings to worship and show respect to their god.

Years passed and the village prospered. The people became rich; their wealth has been reflected through their ornate houses, extravagant clothing and glittering jewelries. As pride lingered on every resident, rivalry also sets in. The people worked even more hard to acquire things more than the others. Being very rich, the people forgot to respect god as jealousy took the place of good will. The church was no longer a place of worship but it became an avenue to display the townspeople’s vanity. Whilst the rest of the village residents spent their lives in worldly competition, a couple remained simple and god-fearing. One night an apparition appeared and told them that the village will be destroyed by a flood. The following day, the couple warned their neighbors and told them to revert for them to be spared from the flood. The villagers did not heed their warning but laughed at them. They continued what they’re doing and mocked the couple accusing them of envy. That night, the humble couple heard a voice telling them to leave the village early in the morning. The voice instructed them to go as far as they can and never look back; most especially when they hear a loud thunder and noise.

The next day, they couple prepared early and left the village. While on their way, they heard a loud clap of thunder followed by rampaging waters. The villagers were awakened but their shrieks and cries were resounded and died as they were submerged in a pool of muddy water. The fleeing couple was shaken by these cries and loud rumblings. Unconsciously, the woman turned back to look at the village. In an instant, the woman fainted as the husband tried to drag her but they both turned into stone. As years went by, a beautiful lake emerged at the place where the village sank; and is now the famous PAOAY LAKE."

I already heard this story before. Other people say that, you can see the cross of the church from the lake at exactly 12Noon. I've never tried to look for the cross so I can't affirm to this one. Nevertheless, the lake itself looks very wonderful.

Opening Hours:
Tuesday to Sunday only
9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Entrance Fee:
Php 20.00

I really hope you can visit these amazing sites that we have here in the Ilocos Norte. you would not regret visiting these places because of its beauty and how rich the story about them.

I hope you enjoyed this entry. If you have any questions about Ilocos, i would gladly help you. Feel free to ask :)

Hanoi Day Trip: Tam Coc

By Unknown

This was our first time in Vietnam. We originally planned to go to Ha Long Bay for a one day trip in Hanoi but, due to bad weather, we were forced to pick this tour instead. This tour was the overpriced tour I was talking about in my previous post, Explorer Tours Vietnam

In this post, I'll share to you our itinerary for that day.
Hotel Pick Up
Souvenir Buying at Workplace for Disabled People
Lunch at Anh Dzung Hotel Restaurant
Boat Ride at Tam Coc Wharf (Ben Thuyen Tam Coc)
Temple Hopping
Visited some requested sites
Hotel Drop-off

Time Frame: 10:30 am - 6:00 pm

According to our tour guide, Mr. Tuan Nguyen, It's best to visit Hanoi from November to March, since there would be less or no rain at all. You would be able to enjoyed a nicer view of Tam Coc and go to Ha Long Bay without the inconvenience of bringing an umbrella.

The travel time from our hotel to Tam Coc is about 2 hours. Good thing our tour guide was so good, he kept on giving us a lot of facts about Hanoi. His name is Tuan Nguyen, a freelance Tour guide. He was only paid by the agency of about 10USD for the whole day. Next time, I would visit Hanoi, I might contact him.

Souvenir Buying at Workplace for Disabled People
This is our first stop for our tour in Hanoi, Vietnam. This store is full of souvenirs from cheap souvenirs to expensive ones. So that you would not miss the store, here is a picture of the store sign.

Tam Coc
Entrance Picture
They sell the following: key chains, silk items, Utensils and tea sets, paintings, wine holder, figurines, bags, scarf, bookmarks, vases, gemstones, pipes, and more....

Since, we weren't able to visit other stores. We just buy some Hanoi souvenirs here, and decided to buy the rest in Ho Chi Minh. I admire this store for hiring disabled workers to do some of the products they sell like paintings and weaving some stuff.

Tam Coc
Tea Sets
Tam Coc
90,000 VND Pouches
Tam Coc
Paintings
Note: This store has a higher price over the stores in the Night Market. Well, they are selling pouches here for 90,000 VND. I bought mine at Ben Than Market, HCM at around 16,000 VND per piece. Same design.

Lunch at Anh Dzung Hotel Restaurant
We arrived here at around 1:30 in the afternoon. There are so many people! I think most of the tour groups have this restaurant as part of their tour packages. We were given a list of what we would expect to eat, from appetizer to desserts.

Tam Coc
Food inclusive for the tour
Our tour package doesn't include drinks, so we have to pay for it. We ordered a drink for about 30-40k VND.

The whole restaurant was very chaotic because the restaurant's full. you have to call the waiter from time to time to remind them about serving you.

The serving size of the food is okay, but the quality and taste is a 6 out of 10. Feels like you can cook it at home. There's nothing outstanding about the dish. However, I have my favorites :) I like the spring rolls and Goat Meat. Grilled goat meat is their specialty in this restaurant.

In this restaurant, they also sell snake wine or scorpion wine. They say, it makes the person stronger, after drinking these type of drinks. We didn't try one, because it's a bit creepy. We're not very adventurous when it comes to eating and drinking exotic ones.

Boat Ride at Tam Coc Wharf (Ben Thuyen Tam Coc)
By the time, we arrived at this venue, the rain is so strong. I thought that they wouldn't allow us to go down anymore. We're so lucky that we're still able to have a ride. According to our tour guide, he wasn't supposed to join us inside the boat, but he thought that we might get bored, so he eventually joined in.
Tam Coc
Ben Thuyen Tam Coc

Tam Coc is labelled as "The Ha Long Bay on Land". Hey! It's true! If you try to google it, you would see how beautiful the place is, with all those rice fields!
The boat is being pedaled by an older women. Our tour guide informed us that we should (Compulsory) give a tip to our boat driver. As far as I can remember, We only gave the old lady around 50,000 VND, but we gave her a drink.

I was very disappointed since we weren't able to see the rice fields due to the high tide caused by the heavy rain. Many people thought, that we're at Ha Long Bay itself.

Tam Coc

The whole boat ride lasted for about 1 hr and a half, because you would visit 3 caves. Because of the strong rain and winds, it was hard for the driver to control the boat. As time passed by, the weather was able to improve, and we managed to finish all 3 caves.

One of the biggest challenges that we faced , was the cave part because we have to duck or else, our heads would make a contact with the ceiling. There's actually no view inside the cave because it was so dark. You have to use the flashlight to see, if you need to duck or not.

At the 3rd/2nd cave, there are floating merchants. They sell drinks and food for you, and the driver. We bought a bottle of Iced Tea for 30,000 VND and we gave it to our driver.

Tam Coc

To enjoy the view, some of the tourists were riding their bikes going around the area. They also have a bicycle area here, and are encouraging the tourist to try it to see other views of the area. Unfortunately  I don't know how to bike, so I thought it would be a waste of time for me to try it.
Tam Coc

Temple Hopping
There were actually 3 temples your going to hike, and on the last stop, You can take a picture with a background of Tam Coc at your back. The temples are sacred places here in Vietnam, so they require the tourist to wear pants before you can enter the temple. Sadly, I was wearing shorts, so I was just outside taking pictures.
Tam Coc
One of the temples
I do not have many pictures of the temples (especially the one inside) because most of them look the same, and I respect the sacred-ness of the place.

Tam Coc
The cave before the 3rd temple
As we were going from temple to temple, we would pass different caves. Because of the rain, it was very slippery so we have to walk slowly. We spent around 30 mins in this area because of the hiking. The only souvenir I saw in this place, was the two school girls selling post cards of Hanoi, Vietnam. They would do their best to sell it to you. I hope it's true that they would use their profit for their education.

At the top, there's this dangerous area where you have to climb the mountain to have a good view of Tam Coc. But because of the rain, We weren't allowed by our tour guide to go there because it's really dangerous. It's actually behind the last temple. This people would have been more awesome, if we were allowed to go there.

Tam Coc

Visited some requested sites
This one is actually not part of the tour itinerary, but we requested if it's possible to drop by to some areas along the way. We want to buy Vietnam coffee, some food and visit one of the European style gate.

Tam Coc
One of the prestigious subdivision in Hanoi
Our tour guide called the agency if, we can visit the center of Hanoi to have a glimpse of it, but it wasn't allowed. I really hate that agency! (They should've allowed us, after what they did to us).

My Feedback to the Tour:
1. The place is a Must-see place in Vietnam, but the price we paid for it is not worth it.
2. The tour guide is very nice and knowledgeable about Vietnam. There were so many facts, and he shared a lot of information to us.
3. There are so many place to visit in Hanoi.
I hope you enjoyed my Tam Coc Tour!

Ilocos Norte Tour: Day 1

By Unknown

Most tourists do not visit Ilocos Norte because it's far from Vigan. I would agree, the travel time from Vigan to the Capital of Ilocos Norte ( Laoag) is approximately 2 hours.

If you are planning to go to Ilocos Norte, there are 3 ways to get here:
          1. Plane ( Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific)
                    - They usually have 1-2 flights per day
          2. Provincial Buses ( Farinas, Florida, Partas)
                    - They have their terminals around Espana Area and Cubao.
                    - The fare ranges from 500- 700 pesos.
          3. Car
                    - Just bring a GPS, and you wouldn't get lost.
                    - Note that gasoline/Diesel price in this province is higher by 10%.

As for our Day 1, We went to these places:
Day 1: Ilocos Norte
Burgos Light Tower
Purpurawan Rock Formation
Windmills
Pagudpod Beach

Burgos Light Tower

Burgos Light Tower

Being here, relaxes you as you see the beautiful site of the ocean and the town that surrounds it. However, you can't go to the top most part of the lighthouse, since the government close it for the safety of the tourist.

They also have a museum here, but for the 3rd time I've been here. It was always close. I'm not sure if they would ever open it again.

Entrance Fee: NONE.
It's absolutely free.

Purpurawan Rock Formation
This is something new to most of the tourists who have been to Ilocos. I only discovered this place last 2011. I really like the whiteness of the stones. It looks so soft in the pictures, while it gives you an outstanding photo because of it's simplicity and elegance.

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation

Lam-Ang Story
Tourists would have to walk for 1.5km from where your car is parked. I suggest you guys to bring water and umbrella, because it's really hot there. Else, you can buy these things to the merchants there.

There's this part here, where you can stand to have a good background photo. I love how nature do it's best to have a wonderful scenery. If you can see here, there are so many elements in one picture: the sky, the sea, the stones, the plants. I just love it. It's pleasing to my eyes. :))

Entrance Fee:
Adult - Php 15.00
Children/Student- Php 10.00
it's an environmental fee. To preserve the beauty of the place.

Optional Fees:
Riding a horse: Php 50.00 - Php 100.00 (One way)

Bangui Windmills

Every tourist spot here in Ilocos Norte, there's always a beach involved. But hey, it gives the tourist to relax by listening the sound of the waves and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding.

Bangui Windmills

Bangui Windmills
Souvenir
Bangui Windmills, was our 3rd stop for this Day 1 trip. I have been to these place twice, and I still enjoy how big those windmills are. They actually power the electricity of the whole town. We went here to have jump shots, solo profile pics, and Instagram worthy posts.

If you are planning to buy Windmill key chains  shirts, pearls, or souvenir. This is a perfect place to buy one since a lot of stores selling different products.  they have 5 key chains for Php 100.00. However, according to one of the seller, they can't give huge discounts because most of them earn through a commission based from the products they sell.

Just try to bargain, they might give you free stuff :)

Entrance Fee: NONE

Pagudpod Beach

Our last stop for our day 1 Ilocos Norte Trip. We had our lunch here, where we rent one cottage for us to cook Barbeque, and other grill-able food. We spent the half of our tour to enjoy the beach and fine sand in this area.

Some people would call Pagudpod as the "Boracay of the North" because of how fine the sands are. We enjoyed building sand sculptures. Look at our artworks :) We spend 1-2 hours competing with the other team.

You can visit the beach anytime, it's not own privately.

Cottage Rent:
Php 600.00 for 6 Hours

Restroom/Shower Use:
Php 50.00 - Unlimited use
Php 25.00 - One time use.

We ended the day with a dinner in Macy's Diner at Laoag City. It's really fun having a road trip with your friends :)

Ilocos Tour Itinerary

By Unknown

I would like to share our Ilocos Tour Itinerary with you when my friends visited Ilocos. I lived in the north, so I became their tour guide and tour planner for 4 days. We want to visit as many places as possible. We use our own car to travel around these places to maximize our time.

This is our Itinerary for our 4 day Ilocos Trip:

Burgos Light Tower
Purpurawan Rock Formation
Windmills
Pagudpod Beach

*The first 3 places are relatively close to each other. So you can visit them all right away. It’s not budget friendly if you miss one of the 3 places, and go back to it the next day.

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation @ The Panda Passport
Kapurpurawan Rock Formation
Day 2: Ilocos Norte
Kaibigan Falls
Paoay Church
Malacanang of the North

* Kaibigan Falls is at the middle of Pagudpod Area and Laoag Area. We opt not to go there during our first day because we want to swim and enjoy the Pagudpod beach. This is our activity for day 2 because it rained so hard that afternoon.

Paoay Church @ The Panda Passport
Paoay Church
Day 3: Ilocos Norte – Ilocos Sur
La Paz Sand Dunes
Pangil Rock Formation
Juan Luna Shrine
Sinait Beach

* This trip is from North to Ilocos Sur. We stayed in our house in Ilocos Sur, so we made the tour like this. We put sand dunes to be our first activity because the sun was shining brightly. We do not want to sand board when it rains.

Places like Sinait Beach and Pangil Rock Formation is not very popular when you search for an Ilocos tour. But, I assure you, that these are some places you can visit to relax and enjoy peaceful view.

Sand Dunes @ The Panda Passport
La Paz Sand Dunes
Day 4: Vigan Tour
Baluarte
Pagburnayan
Hidden Garden
Bantay Church
Bridge
Calle Crisologo
Vigan Musical Fountain

Vigan has a lot of place you can visit to. They have several museums, churches, and shopping area. I would suggest that if you visit vigan, limit it to 1-2 days stay. There are more things to visit in the north (Ilocos Norte) than in Vigan.

Vigan @ The Panda Passport
Vigan Musical Fountain
For my next post, I will share to you in detail what are the things to expect when you go to these places. I would bring you to the wonders of Ilocos. I hope you can visit these beautiful places because I know you’ll surely enjoy it.

Enjoy! ^_^

Viva Manila Tour: Carlos Celdran

By Unknown

In my previous post, I showed you all the highlights of our tour during the #vivamanila tour. You can see the post here: Viva Manila: A Carlos Celdran Downtown Tour. Now, I will share to you what we see in the places that we visited.

Viva Manila Logo

Jeepney Ride to Mabini St.
Visit an art museum ( Maria Closa: Arts Primities Antiques)
Visit a 1945 store (Tesoro’s)Visit a Hotel [Lotus]
Visit Solidaridad Bookstore
Visit a famous bakery – Hizon’s
Visit HIRAYA Gallery
Free Pika-Pika food from JadeVine c/o Manila City Hall
Visit Miramar Hotel for their Art Deco
Group Picture in Luneta/ Rizal Park

September 8, 2013 (Sunday) was a gloomy day. Our meeting point was at MMDA Safety Park. Our tour would start at around 3PM.

Visit and educate yourself at the MMDA Safety Park

The MMDA Safety park is a place where kids can learn the different street signs. They have miniature traffic lights, pedestrian, bike lane, underpass, overpass and rotonda. It's a perfect place for children to bond with their parents while learning different rules we have in Metro Manila.

At the MMDA Safety Park
MMDA Park is located in front of Manila Zoo. If you want to have a group tour here, MMDA would be willing to facilitate the tour.

Visit  an art museum ( Maria Closa: Arts Primities Antiques)

This art museum is along Ermita, Manila. It's a two-floor museum full of paintings and sculptures. The artworks that you can see here are very Pinoy, since most of their works are craved from wood. I'm not sure if they have artworks for sale.
Their Signage
Some of the artworks you can see inside.
Upon leaving Maria Closa, we decided to take a group picture outside with the signage. We were very fortunate to have Mr. Carlo Celdran in our picture. He went to our group and joined the group picture. We were so happy because we don't need to have a picture with him at the end of the tour, where it would be hard for us to squeeze in with other people just to have a decent picture with him.

Have a good picture with him - DONE!

Visit a 1945 store (Tesoro’s) and Visit a Hotel [Lotus]

Tesoro's shop is one of the oldest shop here in Manila that sells Filipino products. They have Barong, Baro't Saya, food from different provinces, keychain, Capiz products, figurines, fans, and many more.

Since we only have 20 minutes to visit 3 places ( at our own pace : Maria Colosa, Teroso and Lotus Hotel), we spent our 5 minutes here to discover the products. There are many interesting product that I'm sure tourists would really love.

As for the lotus hotel, I have no picture there. Also, I didn't fully understand at first why we were there. I though it's a sponsorship part of the tour, where they would promote their hotel. It turns out, that their art decoration there is beautiful. We didn't have time to appreciate these things.

Visit Solidaridad Bookstore

This is a bookstore beside Ibarra's Garden. I haven't been here, but I saw a post from Carlos Celdran about the book "Altar of Secrets" by Aries Rufo. This book is usually out of stock if you go to the local bookstores.

Unfortunately, the bookstore was closed. Mr. Carlos Celdran visited this store a day prior to the viva manila tour. They said, they would be open for the tour group of Mr. Celdran. The lady wearing purple ( behindi Mr. Celdran), is very funny.

Not the exact statements, but it goes something like this (translated to english):

Mr. Celdran: They said, they would be open for us. It's already 4:05PM. I even bought a book here yesterday.
Woman wearing purple shirt: Oh they would be open at around 5......
Me: (hoping that it would open....)
Woman: 5 in the morning ( 5:00 AM, the next day)
Me: (laugh)

Because of this unfortunate event, we would then go to Hizon's.

Visit a famous bakery: Hizon's

As far as I can remember, Hizon's is inside Za's Cafe, in front of a "Collezione" store. They sell ensaymada from 85 pesos to 130 pesos. There are 2 sizes ( big and small)

Ensaymada: Quezo de Bola
Quezo de Bola Ensaymada is worth 130 pesos(Big) and 95 pesos(Small)
Ensaymada Cheese is worth 115 pesos(Big) and 85 pesos(Small)

According to the lady there, Quezo de Bola is their popular brand. However, when I tasted the ensaymada, I can't distinguish how is it so special compare to local Ensaymada brand. I might not buy another ensaymada there because it's a bit pricey.

Visit HIRAYA Gallery
Hiraya Gallery Signage

This is my favorite part of the tour. The paintings being featured on the first floor is from an artist in Batanes, Philippines. I think his idea is about how art now a days are being under appreciated or soon be removed from the picture.

It's  about the Spolarium at the National Museum
2nd floor painting. I don't know the artist.
These paintings are very catchy to the eyes and I love the meaning behind it. I also agree to the owner of the gallery, she said, one of the prerequisite into being a painter is your capacity to draw. The art would serve as an avenue for the artist to express his ideas for the audience to learn something from it. I am not totally against color splattering artworks, but I am a huge fan of paintings like these.

Free Pika-Pika food from JadeVine c/o Manila City Hall

We were offered by iced tea, coffee, tacos and sandwiches c/o of Manila City Hall Mayor Erap Estrada and Vice Mayor Isko Moreno. I didn't expect to have free food since this is a Free tour. Just to be part of a tour, where Mr. Celdran is the tour guide, is what I look forward from this tour. The free food is a bonus in this tour.

Beef Tacos = DELICIOUS!
My favorite food, is the Beef Tacos. I swear, the food is really delicious. It has a mexican taste, and not spicy. I like the cheese topping because it gives a bit of balance to the saltiness of the beef. I like the classy presentation of it because of it's bite-size type. I ate 4 beef tacos and 2 sandwiches (Cheese Pimiento and Mayo & Egg spread).

Visit Miramar Hotel for their Art Deco

After the yummy food, we visit this hotel to see the different art decorations that they have. This time, I understood that, it's not a sponsorship perk, why we are visiting the different rooms in a hotel. This hotel is along Roxas Boulevard.

One of my favorite rooms in Miramar hotel, because it's too spacious. and I believe, this is the most expensive room. It has a living room and a bar. The paintings/art deco are all over the hotel. You can see some from the staircase, hallways, rooms, and function rooms.

This hotel is where Carlo Celdran stayed when the 9-11 event happened. He was watching the news at his room.

After the Miramar tour, Gawad Kalinga offered us a drink. It is the Bayani Brew, made from GK Enchanted Farm.

It was a great way to quench our thirst from the 2 hour walk tour.  There were two flavors, and I picked the yellow one. I personally, don't want how the pink one taste, but my friend loves it. It's a healthy drink, and there are many ingredients involve in each drink.
THANK YOU SO MUCH GK FOR THIS ONE!

Group Picture in Luneta/ Rizal Park

A great way to end the viva manila tour, is to visit our national hero's monument. Mr. Carlos want to point out in this part how beautiful Luneta is. However, a Real estate company is building a condominium that would ruin the background of Luneta because the building is 50 stories high. As of now, you'll be able to see the crane building the condominium one by one.

Group picture with my HS friends

Soon, there would be a building behind this magnificent monument.
We were encouraged by Mr. Celdran to sign a petition to limit the height of the condominium so that, it would not destroy the Luneta Park view. I agree to this cause because we only have very few tourist spot in the Manila, and we want to preserve it. So i signed, the petition.

If you want to sign in the petition, here is the link:

I really enjoyed the whole trip. I'm looking forward for his next VIVA Manila tour. I hope it would be around Binondo and Quiapo Area.

Enjoy reading! ^_^
