Well, this was my second year to attend the Manila International Book Fair and, it was really fun attending those events. I spent my dismissal time to go to this event and look for books that would interest me. I always bring my atm card, especially during these kinds of events, so that I can purchase books that I like.

My Favorite would be in the Scholastic Section. Yes yes, this books are usually for kids :). They give free books!! :D  All I have to do is, to check my Lexile Score and BOOM! I got my free book! :D

What is a Lexile Score?
>> As far as I understand, it is the readers' ability to read and comprehend the book he/she is reading. By determining a person's Lexile score, he/she would be able to look for books that are appropriate for his ability. They can enchance their score by continuously reading books everyday.

And my score is......1074. Oh yes! haha that's actually for Grade 10 or 4th year High school. I'm 4th year college. haha! The person from Scholastic, told me to read at least 20 minutes everyday to enhance my reading skills.

For those who want to know their Lexile Score, you could either:
1. Go to the MIBF Scholastic Booth.
2. Visit www.lexile.com

Remember:

Adults - Php 20.00
Students/ Faculty/ Librarians/ Senior Citizens/ Children Below 4ft. -
